The FDA has expanded the Opioid Analgesic Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (OA REMS) program to include in-home medication disposal options, making it easier for pharmacies to provide patients with a convenient way to safely dispose of unused opioid medications.

As part of this manufacturer-sponsored program, eligible pharmacies can now order DisposeRx in-home disposal packets at no cost to the pharmacy, helping patients safely dispose of leftover medications while supporting efforts to reduce medication misuse and accidental exposure.
